“During” Pictures
A couple of new projects in May and June included getting the upper patio resurfaced with decorative chip seal in Lanai Grey with matte finish (done by Garage Experts of Northwest Arkansas), who we met at the Spring Home Show at the Rogers Convention Center) and the pool privacy fence installed by Peder and I over the long Memorial Day weekend. The fence is a pretty neat system sold by Lowes — Infiity is the brand/manufacturer. The first panel took us about an hour to install, but soon we had a system and got to about 15 minutes per panel. Super happy with both as they have completely transformed the pool and patio area. We pretty much spend all our down time on the patio and use the spa several times each week. Having received approval from the city for a variance on the existing barn behind the pool (which we will convert to a pool house and garage), we can now get on the schedule to get the power and pool equipment installed and the pool re-surfaced. In the below pictures, you can also see the final pool patio surround that was in the Spring and the arborvitaes that Peder planted to soften the fence line.
In January, Sand’s Decorative Concrete started work on prepping the pool and patio area for new life!
The last week of December started the demo of the pool patio and carport. We had a couple days of some pretty loud jackhammering! Demo was definitely the ”easy” part as it will now be at least two months to re-pour the patio, resurface the pool, and install new equipment and privacy fencing. The plan is to incorporate a new pool house as well.
